Our March meeting featured three top software companies which create organizational programs with the Production Manager in mind: Circus Ponies (Notebook), Clients & Profits, and FileMaker. Each company gave us a 30-minute demo/presentation of their product, explaining how it could simplify a Print Production workflow and enable better communication between team members. It was great to see how differently each company approached the challenge of workflow and communication management, incorporating unique ways of tracking emails, graphics files, billable time logs, etc., plus archiving completed project records. It was clear that having everything available in a structured system could really save time and energy for a busy project/traffic manager!
